Concert Review: Jordan Ward

By: Lanie Kapsalis

On March 12, Jordan Ward graced the stage at Valley Bar in Phoenix, delivering an unforgettable performance to a sold-out, intimate crowd. Ward is definitely a great live performer and effortlessly connected with the audience, hyping them up throughout the show. Expressing his anticipation for this visit, he shared a personal touch by addressing the long-awaited demand from fans on social media for a Phoenix appearance.

Recently recognized by Billboard as one of the "15 Hip-Hop & R&B Artists to Watch in 2024," Ward lived up to the hype, showcasing his unique sound that sets him apart. The highlight of the night was Ward's explanation of the dedication he poured into the performance, ensuring it lived up to the expectations of his Phoenix fans. Personally drawn to his track "FAMJAM4000," I discovered Ward's authenticity and soulful artistry, making him one of the most refreshing musicians of the 2020s. As a new fan, it's clear that Jordan Ward's talent is one to watch, and his Phoenix show was a testament to his genuine and captivating musical presence.

Jordan Ward's debut album FORWARD came out one year ago, and I highly recommend giving it a listen to see what you've been missing.
